East Anglia and Kent shouldn't miss out, the NW Extra radar shows this nicely.

post-1600-1170884402_thumb.png

Temperature dropping 0.6C per hour!! Now -4.4C, very cold, clear and frosty outside.

Mammatus

P.s. Any other subscription members having trouble viewing NW Extra? :) It's not fair (throws toys out of pram) members should get priority over non-members when NW sever starts cracking at the seems. :wallbash:

My meteogram (EGHH = Bournemouth) says it all, quite a rapid rise in temps:

Paul said at the start of the model thread that there is a huge amount of volume presently on the site so it is suffering, hardly suprising given the ramping that has been on the media today!

Barry, the temps rising for you mate is probably because the milder air is starting to slowly mix with the colder air, for the SW this was expected, its only further east does the mixing hardly occur as the front moves in a more due north direction rather then ENE like presently because at the moment the whole thing is tilting around the developing low.

Thanks to people earlier for posting the current temperature trend--

I sense a little panic amoungst the forums as temps begin to rise-

Lets see what the next few hours bring-

Whos concerned yet...........

S :drinks:

Certainly not me, i wasn't expecting any snow anyway

I still think the snow is ON myself, and fully expect it to make the News tomorrow.

Ill have to settle for the sight of distant sleet, if i were to look North across the Solent tomorrow :drinks: .

There is always the unexpected element though, looking at the models and the threads here, there is a slight random %chance factor of something Mega.............

Good luck everybody.

Enjoying this thoroughly, I look forward to your take on the Pub run Steve.

Just had a snow shower here which has given a nice 1-2cm covering.

The most this winter so far :drinks:

Please keep working NW!

Yep back again.

Anyway some intresting development been occuring over the last 30-45 mins, the main one being the front is starting to tilt now, this isn't really showing on the eastern flank but closer to the center of the develop low there are clear signs of it tilting now to a more WNW-ESE direction which I expect to continue as we go thorughthe night. Intrestingly very hard to tell but if it is already starting to tilt its a little ahead of where it was expected which is better for the south because it'll mean the front will go directly into the cold pool which will somewhat limit its northward movement.

What are people thoughts on the rainfall/snowfall radar images?

The eastern side looks a bit scattered and lesser than the main central part of it!!

Looks like the south east may not do that well if it continues to break up.

Any thoughts?
