Got a snow shower here in Jarrow, Tyne and Wear.

Not heavy enough to settle yet, and it's close to sea level here.

VERY rapid thaw of 2 cms that fell between 5 and 7. Cold, with glorious sun now! Maybe some more later? Glad for those with several centimeters, get out in it before the sun arrives!

Snowing here in Shoeburyness now, really didn't expect this a very nice surprise.

I thought we were going to be too far east to get anything.

Glad to see a fellow Shoeburyness snow-watcher online, Michelle :cray:

Yes, very unusual for us to get much with a set-up like this. We usually need to have the winds coming in from the east or south-east off the Continent to pick up the moisture off the North Sea. It isn't settling as we are too low, but still nice to see.

Woke up to a 10 minutue moderate snow shower here, ( would have stuck if snowed heavy for long enough ) the first since March 2007, gloriously sunny now, great while it lasted hopefully more to come.

Hi peeps

Been snowing here in Sittingbourne since 8am. On and off, light then heavy. Wonder how long it will last? Not enough here to make a snowman, mind you the dogs keep getting white backs when they go out for a wee lol!! I think it's now too wet for it to settle unless we have an absolute blizzard

Hope everyone is ok

Luv T...xxx

:cray: Yes we also have some snow here in Swindon Wilts!! Looked on the Netweather radar :D to see what time it came.Seems to have fallen heavily between 05.00-0600 as it tracked S&East. My daughter who was 10 a couple of days ago hasn't seen a reasonable amount of snow in our garden before  Here's a couple of pics, one being my daughter Aysia and my wife.

A good four centimetres here in Birmingham. The strong sun is causing a rapid thaw, alas, but it looks like there's more to come tonight. Fingers crossed!

Have a great day everyone.

Regards,

Mike.

Some pathetic snow at lower levels last night but a good covering on the Mendips, completely white in bare places. Going walking there in a mo.

What a lovely morning in Basingstoke.

Best sound in the world was when the two grandchildren phoned (aged 2 and 3) at 7.30am - they've never seen snow like this before and all I could here was "WOW".

Great snow here today -- best we've had for years -- preceeded by an almighty thunder clap! B) :)

Lots of fun on the sledges :)
