Had a few flurries now - some of snow some of refrozen snow (big lumps like polystyrene).

A good start!

Exactly the same here (big surprise)! Though it was a short-ish burst...

I am not happy  the hour and half of snow we had earlier, has gone, melted. We wont get an accumulation total if that keeps happening will we. Mind I suppose if its started snowing here earlier than it was supposed to - then we have just had a trial run to clear the airway s for the real stuff.

been mostly on rather than off in acaster, just started throwing it down with larger flakes than before, previously like a fine hail with flurries, no feather dusters coming down.

Settling on the ground nicely.

Get a feeling this isnt the main event as it comes and goes.

I think SM mention on another thread this was not expected so anything now is bonus

If anything instability is greater and the snow event more wide spread then forcast 24hrs ago. A upgrade in my book
