Last post before we all go offline for a while-

We'll all be joining you soon.

What we don't want is for the snow showers to melt and then wet all the surfaces. Shouldn't be a problem for me though, only seen one or two light grains.

Last post before we all go offline for a while-

Every bit of snow seen in the SE today so far has been bonus snow, I still have the 6-9pm Kick off time as the main event-

Whilst people further west may be concerned- most of what has fallen today will melt in the afternoon sunny gaps barring the likes of Wrotham & bluebell hill etc-

The main is LATER- with the push harder westwards up the upper air- showers should still travel WSW but at less of an angle- hence the Thames streamer on the Country file forecast-

Steve

Being here on Bluebell Hell I can confirm over an inch to already have fallen and settled

Is that the outage over now?

Some showers showing up around Ipswich now, could be heading for my area if they continue to gain strength and maintain direction!

As Steve said the fact we have a slight thames streamer setting up already is a real bonus, things won't really get going till the lapse rates really increase in the eveing.

Looking at the models looks like the instablity will be strong enough to send the snow showers well inland, showers could even make it to the western sid eof the country which requires a pretty unstable easterly usually to occur!

This could be a big 36hrs coming up!

Anything you have had so far is a bonus, real fun starts this evening! And of course the showers will be continuing this afternoon beforehand anyway
