The depth total of 25cms is certainly possible locally near the Thames esturay I suspect but away from that and maybe the Humber I would'nt expect quite that much but we have to wait and see, still widely expect 10-15cms in the SE/East Anglia.

Hi Kold.

Can i expect some decent snow overnight?

Please help!

I think we have to face facts, we have a wall of snow surrounding thanet and we wont be able to escape untill the great thaw sets in.

Evening all,

For those worried about NE Essex chances of snow, normally in this kind of set ups This part of the coastline tends to do fairly well as the colne estuary generates its own snow showers too which fall over colchester and the surrounding areas

Hello Callie!

If you've finished your shift, best get home now as Friday Street is starting to fill up!

If not, you'll have a quiet night with the 'punters'! :D

I've looked at where you are on the map and cant believe your not getting snow. your under snow according to the met radar. In any case, it will come.

we've got heavy snow at the moment here near t wells, and depths and moving past an inch now.

Pah and yet here just outside of West London it is clear!!! I WANT SNOW, I've been getting really excited about the prospect of a bit of snow with all these warnings from the meto and S&SW Londoners! I know one area can be clear and the other cloudy but this just takes the buscuit. Anyone know what we can expect here in the East Berkshire area?

Cheers

The thing to remember is at the moment the only region that has any real forcing and instablity is indeed near the tHames with the snow streamer setting up.

However by about 2-5am the forcing will have increased quite a lot across the whole of the SE and so we should see much more in the way of shower activity in the region so no one should worry jus yet, still very much in the early stages...which bodes very well for those already having heavy snowfalls!

I reckon Paul S earlier wish has come true.

Snow showers to the SE appear to me moving from a ENE,ly direction and around the Wash there now appears to be a NE,ly instead of a ENE,ly.

Hopefully everyone is a winner. :D

Are you sure Dave? Earlier on today showers were moving in W/SW direction now they are moving in a straight W direction, this sucks for my location because it looks like it will be dry here for the rest of the night.

I'm just about to travel back to my home in Islington, North London but I get the feeling we won't get much... Am I wrong?

And have I a chance of getting anything from a Thames Streamer?

Well so far we have had snow showers since 9.30am, but the the showers have been fairly light with one or two good showers. The sun in between has melted a fair bit of snow and tonight there is a very thin layer. Skies are clearing and I'm not hopeful of anymore.

Someone pleae tell me Norwich/North-ish Norfolk are going to get some decent snow out of this. So far the snow we had in November is more than this.

getting heavier in sittingbourne now

Crikey - just looked out, a fair bit of snow has fallen in the last few minutes here, the roads have been gritted but are still getting choked with snow - think things could be extremely dodgy tomorrow.

Ace forecast on Anglia ITV... 5–10 cm and could be 15 cm for S Essex and high ground (that's me :D ). Likely to stay cold all week with another reload or battleground on Thursday/Friday with our region on the front line. Lots of remarks like "heaviest snow for 5 years" and "coldest winter for 12"... hard core weather porn :D:D:clap:

Just popped my head out the back door with the camera and it was snowing like crazy, the grass is covered and drifting against the door — well if an inch or two is a drift. Just great.
