Been a great snow event here in Middle Wallop Hampshire. Woke to a good 3" first thing, that got topped up to around 4 or 5" by mid morning. Intelude of brighter weather followed by steady snow since around 2pm and still snowing now - wahoo1 best I've seen in years!

Snow has now become heavier and is now almost horizontal giving blizzard-like conditions. Looks like we've had another 1cm in the last hour so now 8cm in total :)

Snowing hard here too although the radar doesn't show huge amounts heading this way after this band moves.

why do you always moan? lol. be thankful you got several centimetres accumulation, and remember small flakes are generally a better indicator of sticking snow.

Hmmm well, considering all the hype, it looks as if soon (about 10mins from now) the snow event will be over for the oxford, reading, and buckinghamshire regions unfortunatly, were situated where the band of rain is 'split' in two, if only that gap could be filled with more glorious snow! From the way the wind is blowing, the precipitation will be sloping past us (Aylesbury) by a few miles (if Less!) Oooooooh the frustration! lol :)

Tell me about it. The amount of snow here is barely measureable. Last 24 hours' accumulated snowfall:

Because everything always misses here. Just above is reported near blizzard like conditions. Nothing like that here and the radar shows were due to go into a 'dry hole' soon. :)

Will the rainband to the EAST of Oxford be making any further progress to the West? If not then my chances of any more snow have diminished, according to the BBC AND the Metoffice, this part of the midlands should be getting snow until 21:00-00:00 tonite?

It is pivoting is'nt it, which means it wont make any further progress WEST, just NORTHERLY? :yahoo::(

How much chance is there that the large area over Bath/Swindon will start heading north?
