I noticed they've removed Lincolnshire from the warning - Interesting - I suspect they're expecting a wintery mix or rain along the east coast - I notice Norfolk and Suffolk have been removed too.

South Yorkshire is a possibility, but it will be much lighter here as it will only be the very northern most part of the front.

They did that last week for Thursdays event i think it was and we ended up with 10cm in the ground. With about 8cm still on the ground here and a further 10cm possible i might have 20cm on the grass if the warning is right! Just been speaking to my grandma and they have apparently have 20cm still in Fulwood (Sheffield)

Great thought we were too far North. Another week that my mother is house bound by the looks of it.

My Grandma and Grandma are stuck down there street with ice and snow all over the road and path which is made worse by how steep the road is. Although he can drive he doesn't like driving in those conditions. Thankfully they stocked up and they have a great next door neighbour who offered to walk up to Tesco and the Co-Op down the road if they need anything.

Met office weather watch now extends to Yorkshire, the NW and covers the whole of E Anglia for Monday and Tues. It is however the yellow colour as opposed to the Orange - indicates uncertainty with the northern extent of the band. Nowcasting looks the way things will go!

Sheffield 150m

4 inches of snow still on the grass!

We are just on the bit where Lodgemoor meets Fulwood and can confirm there is still a heck of a lot of snow left up here! So we are due for another dumping then? Well having still not gone into labour, it seems the weather gods are wanting me to be snowed in !!

Anyone have any thoughts on the severity of this event for us up here?

Probably a couple of inches if you're lucky. Here in Bradfield we have still a good 3 inches lying from last week's snowfall.

According to the NW radar the snow is almost upon us.

Radar shows it's snowing here but it isn't. Dry and cloudy. Won't be long though.

Looks like a cm or two though at best. The PPN band is very narrow around us, unlike further south in the midlands again.

Yup light Snow doesn't look like it'll do much as the front seems to be weakening a little.

Now stopped and the odd break in the cloud showing. Another band to come but if it's like the first blink and you missed it.
