moderate snow falling here for about 30 mins, getting heavier as i type, laying on pavements and grass but so far not the roads.

Snow here, at sea level, with the weather coming from the west is a rarity, i am quite pleasantly suprised.

:p Damn right! Got a pleasant surprise when my housemate was putting out the recycling to see it really falling! Said he doubts they'll be round for it...somehow, I think they'll cope!

Btw...how far along is Canal House from like the MFI on Castle Boulevard? The Uni Real Ale Soc should be going there on Thurs for a beer fest there, I'd kinda like to go to, if I can find a fellow victim and where the thing is!

WOW ANYONE SEEN THE METOFFICE RADAR, LINCS, HULL/E YORKS YOUR IN FOR A PASTING!

Some of the heaviest snow which is currently passing through, and approaching here... is set to move through to the Lincs area.

Really quite beefy showers... leading to fast accumilations here on top of the existing snow cover.

Seems we are in a 'light' part of the precipitation, things look much healthier west now, hopefully things will finally get going over the next half hour, if not all i can say is we were bloody unlucky!!

Much, much better now B)

It started snowing here at around 7pm and has gone from light to moderate now.

The temperature is 1.2C though, so it'll have to get heavier if its going to lay. Just wetting the ground as it stands.

Should stop soon in Sheffield I'm guessing about an inch of new snow. Will brush it off tomorrow morning.

Arent you in Cottingham though? Thats actually quite rural so it'll always be a tad colder.

20:00 temperatures were 0.9C at Bridlington and 0.6C at Leconfield (rural) compared to my 1.2C at the time, so taking into account that Im next to the river and city centre I think its pretty much what you'd expect.

A slight dusting on roads of all places now. Its too dark to see the grass. Snow still moderate.

Yep, but the metoffice shows different lol

the radar im looking at concurs with the NW radar, there is two area of intense snow the first moving through the lincoln area the second has just passed through the Mansfield area. Both of these inner ppn areas is moving NE and building. i would say anyone in Skeggy could have the worst by the time its gets to the coast also anyone on the S Lincs wolds.
