i have a feeling it will have a stig in its tail tonight for essex and suffolk maybe not here on the coast but inland over the high bits in west of essex, suffolk maybe 5 to 10cm , looks like some modarate and heavy rain sleet snow in sussex and surrey heading this way, think it will hang around till the early hours, temp 1.5C at mo here and falling slowly

What about Norfolk? is the ppn moving across the south or down from the north? :)

Is it me or is there a line of precipitation moving northwards to London?

The low in the channel is spinning around like a catherine wheel, sending waves of precip out like sparks. It's hard to tell if it's heading N yet....kind of NNE. Impossible to call this one, still snowing in Heathrow though.

Chichester in West Sussex is considered to be the South East by the Met Office.

..and considered so by the very same people who couldnt nowcast snow last night in their own back yard. Nuff said?

It's starting to settle on wet ground.Still heavy.

My other half said that about ten minutes ago when he spoke to me on the phone from somewhere near your location.

Hope you have lots of snow! Only raining here at the moment but wind getting colder. :)

Much heavier north of oxted, decent covering where none was earlier. Maybe a cm now. Just headed into the tunnel, won't be able to see difference around croydon with so little melt.

There does seem to be a Snow Streamer setting up across South East London

Sleet Streamer further East

Maybe even a Rain Streamer for N Kent Coasts and SE Essex :cold:

Looks like the actual low is moving due east, so I think the south eastern corner will fare best for snow tonight. Icy elsewhere!!
