i have a feeling it will have a stig in its tail tonight for essex and suffolk maybe not here on the coast but inland over the high bits in west of essex, suffolk maybe 5 to 10cm , looks like some modarate and heavy rain sleet snow in sussex and surrey heading this way, think it will hang around till the early hours, temp 1.5C at mo here and falling slowly

I know but i posted it to show just how wrong the radar can be. And to think i pay for it. Ho hum it is only as good as the information it gets from the metoffice so that's poss why htey got things so wrong yesterday.

Thanks Steve.

Its started raining here in Iwade now and temp still dropping. My guess is that the N Downs SE of London will do well as will the high Weald as this keeps slipping ESE wards. Be nice to see a few flakes here though to save me from driving up to above Detling :D

James

ps I know we are discussing tonight here but do we feel that monday into tuesday holds a little hope? I see the MetO have put out some early warnings for the far south of our region. My feelings are that it wont make it here at all and scurry off into France.

It's beginning to look a lot like Chris.....Monday around here.

It's in all the trees and our little road is covered again.

I don't think we've had much more than about 3-4cms but

came down on top of the 10-12cms still left from Monday.

Temp risen to 1.0°C from 0.6°C an hour ago. DP 1°

Wind 350/08kts

Viz 3000mtrs

The South has its own thread!

Chichester in West Sussex is considered to be the South East by the Met Office.

Steady rain here in Brighton, although the temperature has fallen almost 6 degrees in the last three hours from 7.2c to 1.4c now, so maybe it will turn.

Peering out the window, can make out light flurries of snow, clouds appear to be deepening but been a little frustrating here today

any hopes of any intensification? hopefully I wont be reduced to providing a substitute to fill in the grassy bits, could be somewhat wearing but desperate times call for desperate measures :)
