Have to say, I am well chuffed with the snow this evening, especially as it was so unexpected! Really starting to settle here now

Dry, 'caster sugar' stylee snow here that isn't degrading into slush when the cars drive along the road and it appears to waft, then those tracks are again covered with more dry snow. No sign of abating and 3cms. No idea of the temps as gizmo kaput

an inch? :D we only have about 0.5cm!

people should check their rulers methinks

Hence the other regional threads take the p i s s , with phrases like "Kentimetres"

0.5cm more like it in reality.

In Ashford 0.5cm, 1.2 Deg C and settling on north facing paving, grass & cars.

Really nothing to get too excited about.

Blowing hard towards Brighton, Cleo!

LOL

Another snowy scene from Suffolk... I put them all in dated folders and so far I've got about 6 folders for this year — amazing!

Plus the temperature's actually falling from -0.0° C to -0.2° C, so it might stick around into the night for the morning. What a good buy that toboggan was

Im no expert, but NW extra "radar" shows a touch of rain behind the main band (estimated to get here in 2/ 3 hrs)

-- so watch the reports coming from the north and the west to see wtf!

I'm so glad for you Paul... not sure where you are in Suffolk, but I was beginning to feel a bit guilty on you missing out.

The uppers are -7° C over the county, so it should be the lovely lasting powdery kind. Who knows? At this rate, Suffolk CC might have to reconsider the exorbitant £220k salary they're paying that Chief Exec woman. Ho ho.

Flakes are thicker here now. It's still a bit too wet, roads and paths still have dark showing through, cars and grass covered though. Please keep snowing.

Thanks mate. I am in the east of the county, close to the coast and Sizewell power stations!

I've just had my Asda shopping delivered and the driver said the roads are relatively clear at the moment, but if it freezes up later it could be a dodgy morning tomorrow.
