Thanks, Paul. :D I already have Adobe FP 10 installed and suddenly after refreshing the page, it's now working.

Don't ask me what happened as to why it refused to work the first time. I swear that my PC has a mind of it's own.

And the Cb you guys are heading for looks like it could be the storm of the chase to date. :)

Phil.

I still maintain that Cheltenham is in the SW Midlands. Took this pic from the late evening Central News weather forecast...

IMG_2897.jpg

Doesn't quite say Cheltenham but it's down there somewhere, plus I have seen Central News report from the Cheltenham Festival (Horse racing) before.

Reminds me of that sad quip...

"I was in 'Nam' once..."

"Really?"

"Yeah!... Chelt'nam."

Sorry!

Phil.

I am forced to resign my 'No storms club' membership for this year as, early yesterday evening, a storm did me the disservice of moving close enough to my location that I could hear thunder whilst being far enough away that I missed the heavy rain.

Starting to gag a bit for storms - not had a direct hit so far in 2009, though have seen two storms nevertheless.

Any hopes of a plume for the end of the week have been dashed too!

I always believe that a wetter spring gives a better summer - chiefly because the last two springs have been glorious leading to nasty summers, whereas 2006 iirc was a very cold and wet spring, leading to a very hot summer.

I can live with May being cool and wet (well, the last few days have been wet anyway) if June/July/August are going to be hot and offering good plumes!

Right, now, this is what I think will happen! there will be no storms for any of us for a few months (which is nothing unusual lol) then out of the blue ,when no storms have been forecast the whole of the UK will get a really bad unexpected scary storm and then we will all happily leave the no storms club all together and rejoice LOL

The amount of heavy showers and massive thunder clouds yesterday turned out to be a huge miss...not even a single rumble!

Actually it's been pretty good for storms in both NE and NW England as well as Northen Ireland,

I wish, still wating for my first storm of the season, tomorrow could well be a good bet but i am not building me hopes up as there is normally a spoiler that happens which stops storms occuring here.

If that comes off....hummana hummana hummana! lol

Apologies if that sounds vulgar, but if that comes off we are talking v high temperatures and potentially super thunderstorms (light drizzle for Paul Sherman & Co)

This so far is fantastic as not long back we were all (almost) saying there are no signs of this average spell going!

Looks absoloutley brilliant for many if next week comes off particularly For Central and Southern UK. :D
