Rather dark to my SW, but so far the showers are all missing me by a few miles.

Looking at the BBC forcast just now, Showers are expected to increase through the afternoon. So maybe you will see something then.

looked on met o radar. yep! we have showers on the way! lets hope they gain some intensity!

oh and a question! Do we really need the day time heating to set off the storms as im aware that this is not always the case when several other factors are present? it's very cloudy out and not alot of sun is getting through

....just as i posted the sun came out! yipee!

It's as dark as night to my west, so another downpour very soon seems likely.

Quite a few scattered showers around though at best they'll just be heavy or very heavy showers, I doubt there'll be any storms today. Little CAPE and poor lapses make storms quite unlikely.

True but there may see some isolated activity i suppose from some heavy showers later. The torrential rain makes up for it though imo.
