Snow reports 1 2 09 onwards

Too much snow...

Well I am a little late in reporting the snow that we got but on Sunday we got a slight dusting from showers, Sunday night and Monday morning snow showers gave us 2-3cm and then in the afternoon on Monday a period of snow lasting from 1:40pm till 9:30pm gave us around 10-12cm altogether, so all in all, most significant snow in Leicester since 2000.

Really bad conditions here.. only been falling here for a few hours according to the radar but we have several inches on all surfaces and the more to come it would seem.

Started snowing in Buckingham around 1am, and completely covered the road in 20 minutes. Continued steadily all night until about half an hour ago. Current depth 7cm, about 2 and three quarter inches. Temperature varied between 0.8 and 1.2C, but now dropped to 0.6.

Not sure how long its been snowing here but got about 2cm so far and in patches it never melted it looks thick.

Going through a lighter period of snow here, much heavier PPN directly to my East and South though... I change of intensity by 20 miles either way will see very heavy snow affect my area once again.

Well Well Well... This was not expected now was it? The band of snow moved 40 miles more than expected and has left me with 4cm's. It started at about 5.30am and is still snowing! Going ti be a fun day in school
