http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00pgps6/b00pgprm/BBC_Weather_16_12_2009/ < now thats a good forecast, although he maybe slightly insane. lol

That is so brilliant - thanks for posting! The way he talks about Monday with that huge grin on his face - this man's a serious snow ramper, he's ace!!!!!

Lol 3 miles NW and it's over Cheltenham! Let's hope so.

If you're right, at least I could see some snow incredibly close :)

That would take only the slightest of "nudges" to move it over a greater swathe of these beautiful and much better than the south east, midlands of ours.

Let's all pray for surprises! :whistling:

Looking good tonight for warwickshire which is the only west midland county with warnings out smile.gif, love living here as we seem to have a chance with easterly setups like tonight and northwesterly cheshire gap showers too like at the weekend and as we are centre of england as far away from the sea as possible we get very frosty nights especially in rural valleys. biggrin.gif

im in n/e worcestershire in redditch, really close to u! hope some snow will just get to me mellow.gif

Gotta love Rob. He nails the forecast every time to be fair. To most of the rest at the BBC it's just a job I think, but Rob is passionate about it like us and that's what makes his forecasts that extra bit special.

I also like (and I'm bound to spell his name wrong) Tom Schafernacker and Laura Tobin.

Haha just watched that, I think that must be one of the most shamelessly cold ramping forecasts I've ever seen :)

The bit at the end where he talks about monday, is pure class!!!! :whistling:

That's where the heaviest snow is predicted to be, but snow is hard to predict........and it's moving south.

I would hope that everyone either side of these main bands has at least some snow. :)

Seems like the showers are dieing as they cross northern areas of eastern counties, although parts of north/ northwest england are getting a pasting, unexpectingly!

From reports it seems Yorkshire, Norfolk and Suffolk currently have snow showers.

Later on the snow will hopefully move inland a bit more.

Showers are making their way nicely over the Pennines now. I think we may be in for a bit of a surprise. Things in the SE dont look as bad as i expected right now either. :)

Ones in the southears have just said the low seems to be heading towards southeast england, they mean the core of the low, and sayin they areworried , which is surely good news for us midlanders ???

Yes, that would place the main push of snow further north and west which is precisely what we want in order to make it the RIGHT side of marginal for Northants and Warwickshire.

This would be good news as it would shunt the precipitaion north and west, which would be amazing for the midlands, we'll just have to wait, but the northeasterly flow seems nto to be pushing the system as much as we thought it would....fingers crossed though!
