Looks more than OK to me on Netweather. My advice to anyone expecting snow in the region...don't expect deep snow, but if it's a covering you're after and winter wonderland conditions come tomorrow morning, then yes this is more than possible and likely across most of our region.

I know, I am using both of them. Doesn't look good either way to be honest.

Doesn't look to bad for us though aha! :D

I wouldnt be so sure, the heavier precip looks like going to far east even for us, although cant be 100% sure on that yet, guess in an hour from now we will know

Freezing rain we don't want to see anywhere, that will cause serious problems on the roads.

Thats what Ian Fergusson said I think.

There is more of a concern for freezing rain than snow at this point, Im starting to believe this forecast after reading the Northern Thread's

It's like a weather forcefield that redirects the snow everywhere else but here. To use a phrase from my generation, `this sucks man!' Please Jeebus, let it snow! :D

Lol moving completely SE, what a joke. Don't expect areas west of birmingham to get much at all if any settling snow. :D

+1.1°C here and seems to be rising.

Hope we don't just end up with rain like those in the North West.

Just had a phone call from a family member in Bolton, seems the snow turned to rain, the mild sector pushed in further east than expected.

worrying to say the least 600 feet above sea level.blink.gif

"wintry mix" comes to my mind.

it's more of a loclaised situation in the northwest.

Its ironic that the warmer sea temperatures & lack of mountains in the North West have weakened it (should do the opposite) yet its plowing through mountains and the cold north sea without losing intensity!.

Just hope we get a deep low smash into the UK and the south east gets rain while we get snowed in for once.

The same thing happened last year when a band of snow came from the NW just gave a slight dusting here.

All the heavy snow went east, taking the snow aswell as the thunderstorms.

This is a different set-up to then.

Still time yet, even though the radar doesn`t look much it could pep up.

Notice the wind is picking up westerly at the moment,it turns very sharply to the north once the really colder air digs in check this out.

That`s not good :D light freezing rain shower here and stars are out 0.8c

Are we admitting that the forecasters got it right???

Nope, BBC said 5cm of snow across central England - looks like they have got it completely wrong.

damn the warm sector seems to have reached here.... 0.3c to 1.3c in 45 mins sad.gif.

But it will turn to snow again if it does ever rain.

The warm Irish sea does not help the North West.

But Bolton does very well due to it's height, something went very wrong LOL
