Well ive been out and had a proper look here in the back garden (which is a bit sheltered) and theres 16cm with some light snow still to come

I imagine the more open areas nearer the racecourse will have nearer 20cm

Cleeve hill - i'd love to imagine! Will head up there a bit later

SK

16cm - crazy!

Although it does look deeper out the other side of the house. I'm wondering whether there is less depth in the garden (10cm) because of being sheltered. Heading off soon to explore!

My partner is from Christchurch. She thinks Stroud is the North of England! Here she is setting out earlier. Her car is currently abandoned in Cirencester some 12 miles away.

Little flurries of snow now falling here. May get an intense flurry soon by the look of things. Will it settle though?

Very heavy precip moving in on you now - all snow - shouldn't have any problem sticking.

OMG, about time! Is the Weymouth snow shield about to finally retract! I expect the Weymouth snow-to-rain convertor will be armed and in place when it passes us by shortly though!

Anybody know what is happening to the low pressure? GFS has it sinking south (good for my location) and BBC N24 has it heading East.

Looks like the stuff streaming in around Chelmsford may bring further (albeit light) showers to Bristol area later

Good to see Exeter getting some of the white stuff again. Last winter, when I got three unexpected snow events there, I was told that there had been virtually nothing on the ground for the previous seven winters! I thought it looked promising for Exeter when I saw the radar sequence for south-west England.

I'm at work on the Nuffield Ind Est - snowing reasonably heavy now. Just starting to settle.

How's Broadstone doing guys?

Opps just saw your latest post Snowdog. Bet the kids are excited.

Hi,

In Canford Heath it is not as heavy as it was, but still moderate and settling.

Anybody now how long this will last?
