Bigger flakes now but lighter and drifting now rather than coming straight down def more breeze and v dark

It's eased off here ATM. My parents now got back from shopping in Eaton and the snow has been sticking on the B1113.

Been a good afternoon for showers here - pretty constant with heavy outbreaks :wallbash: With the odd graupel shower too for the mix!

Looks as though it will continue well into the evening :help:

Have made 3rd snowman in as many days :cray:

I take it from your username you're from Long Stratton?

This has been the first snow since 9 am here.

You don't want that , you just want stronger winds and more precipitation in the north sea !.

Seems to be hitting whitstable harder than here

Increasing now, radar suggest about a 20 minute block and then more flowing through later

That and much more of an easterly element to the wind.

Too much north (perfect for you).

Hopefully the line of red following after the blob that skillfully dodged us will hit us all night :drinks:

Yeah, unreal mate, unreal. I mean how's your luck. Need that poxy N wind in the Estuary to veer more NE. Not only will it "P" us off, it will "P" others off further S & W of here. We need to look at the showers over Ipswich/F'Stowe. Any showers tracking off the Essex/Suffolk coast will miss us and end up in N.Kent atm, with a last minute deflection!

Are showers now develpping inland? Broxbourne got some light snow (confirmed in call back home...actually I told them it was coming and it came while i was on the phone!). I would have expected our chances to come from showers generated out to sea and penetrating inland. But this one seeem to generate over Cambridge!

ok stupid question time now here from a numpty....could it snow even though my little weather station is showing that the pressure is rising? currently 1021.7 hPa...temp is 0.1 dew is -2.1.

i know usually when the pressure drops on it then it starts saying rain but is that diff with snow?
