I'll take that forecast, even 2cm I would be delighted with, in all honesty we already have quite a bit lying here in Ealing. Hope my snow starved mates down in Brixton pick up more, south London deserves its chance, and I feel sorry for my buddy as he is a snowbie and all he got was 1-2cm during the week which has now turned to ice in the heat island.

Cripes. Do you have a link???

watching on sky news via interactive.

persistent snow for sunday too.

monday shows a band of snow from east cost stretching accross to wales and as far north as northern england. rolleyes.gif so hopefully snow for many on monday.

According to the net weather radar, it should have started snowing lightly in Gravesned, but theres nothing? Also checked with my friend further east in Cuxton (rochester) and they still haven't got anything. unknw.gif

I suppose it's better for London to get any it's going to get after nightfall, as we don't want heat island trapping to stop it settling in inner areas.

I still have my doubts looking at how lazy the Beast has been today, but I guess he may wake up a bit later – and I haven't actually seen any recent forecasts. Hope you are right about tonight mate.

BTW do other winds have nicknames? I call the West Wind the Pest from the West, but do north and south or others have nicknames?

lol THE BEAST!! XD

The front is not going to move much with a NE Wind Today.

Later on it's forecast to be a more brisk Easterly/SE Wind which will push it inland this Evening. :whistling:

Snowing very hard down here now, beginning to lay on those patches of road covered by cars...

New snow is fighting quite a thaw here. Wet ground not covering, grassy patches are being filled in but the overall depth isn't increasing even with all this snow!

I'll second that. Can someone rouse the Beast from his Saturday morning lie-in? rolleyes.gif

Just pressed my face up to the window and I spied a flake or two! Can't say if this is falling out of the sky or fallen flakes being blown. Hope it's the start of something good!

Ok light snow falling in Southend now, temp has jumped from -1.8 to + 0.1 in the space of 10 mins, doesn't seem right!

Any other reading in the surrounding areas would be appreciated.
