Things pepping up a tad now- out towards most of essex- a larger area has banded to give ligght snow over a wide area which is edging into the SE corner now-

just need a few darker echoes in there-

Steve

I agree Steve it is snowing lightly but the snag is the temp has risen to its highest today 0.7c hope that trend doesn't continue!

I like francis saying it's a lock in with the cold spell, and I might move to Germany next Winter if they might have 100cms!! lol

Very light snow started here, had some hefty showers earlier in the day, have total of about two inches from two days

Fingers crossed for us by the river Dallas.

Radar is looking promising out along the estuary

Yamkin, with the wind from the NE. Won't the band from France just miss me?

ppn will penetrate further inland on Sunday & Monday where you will have snow. Look out for Tuesday and Wednesday too.

If you look on the general model output discussion thread, you will see that is looking less likely and marginal since the most recent set of runs.

does anyone know why the PPN coming down the Estuary seems to decay and lack intensity as it gets to North West Kentcc_confused.gif

Because the onshore steering winds at the W end of the Estuary are NNE ( :) ) at the moment which is shearing the main convection band and keeping it pegged from moving NW

Dont know how much we have had but it keeps on falling and blowing a lot off roofs and the road. Cant see the curbs and the snow has drifted around 12" up my patio door.

Temp at 0.1c
