Coming down really well now....but its back to sleet and rain!

Very lucky for the hills of SW Brum, been just the right side of marginal all day. Extra covering probably 0.5-1cm. So still 5 inches/12.5cm deep even on patio. Currently light or light/moderate snow, flake size has increased somewhat.

The Met Office warnings are a kiss of death so when they are downgraded/removed its always promising youve got heavy stuff on the way

The ground is all very dry here so if it does snow decently which would be a shock considering it usually lasts 5 minutes, then we could get a reasonable amount.

Anyway should be some moderate/heavy bursts of snow at times now though still generally light.

Snowing at the moment and settling on the old snow that was still on the ground that had thawed slightly. Heavier blob of precip on the radar is incoming so i'll let you know how it goes!

It's the strangest sight out here. Light snow, all the horrible slush has somehow gone, but all of the white snow still rests perfectly, giving the image of huge gaping holes in the middle of the road!

Are you sure its rain because i suppose it could be small flakes being driven on by the freeze so they fall fast therefore look like rain?

It's a fine line between nothing, loads of snow and loads of rain! Very risky scenario, but if the risk pays off it will pay off big time.

South West, Wales and a small portion of the west midlands look like getting a bit of a pasting. Shame it hasn't got any chance at all of reaching this far. On to the next battleground...
