Been snowing here in paddockwood, Kent since 0330am and it's just starting to get a bit heavier. About 2/3cm fresh snow I would say so far. :-)

about penny sized and then some bigger ones. but i think it will be more a case of how long it comes down for rather then size of flakes, as even small flakes will accumulate over a period of time

Morning all :-)

What a nice surprise this morning, expected a dusting and woken up to approx 2-3 inches of laying snow, topped up the 6inches still laying from last week !

Hubby decided to leave for work at 7am, and 10mins ago got a call to say he was stuck at the end of our road...son now gone prepared with shovel, carpet etc to help him get free !!

A neighbour put it in perspective..."is going out a life or death situation..if not why are you travelling" A good point I feel, so I'm staying here and am not even going to attempt the 28mile journey I normally face getting to work !!!

Stay safe everyone :-)

Nothing in Dover, but it looks like it may start soon! Hopefully there's no sleet and rain in it but the met office website is now suggesting there wont be :drinks:

Yes we got over a cm now, slowed up slightly, just going to try to get the car out for my daily slog to delights of Harlow, lets hope the M25 is kind.

Temperature was 0.9c when I woke up at 6am, now it's 0.2c and snowing very lightly.

Checked the radar and it seems we might have it for some time...

Wow , a lot more than I expected. Front looks to have stalled over us as well - so a few more hours perhaps. Hope it doesn't melt this afternoon!

We have about 2" of extra snow this moring in Reading and continuing with light snow at the moment, the roads are passable with care but it does seem to be melting on the roads with traffic so hopefully you will all be ok and can all get to work. :drinks:
