Moderate snow falling in Evesham :)

Is it sticking?

Edited to add that it is raining here, quite hard. Doesn't look sleety at the moment.

Now at 2ºc

DP : 0ºc

Very borderline as to what will fall from the sky. I'm guessing more sleet than Washington type snow, although that said, the lower base cloud does look rather odd.

Phil.

"...leading to treacherous driving conditions where snow settles on roads – this may coincide with the rush hour across the West Midlands, so there is likely to be disruption to road, rail and air travel."

From our very own netweather regarding 5 - 10cm of snow.

Just my luck. I hate working here! Anyone need an accountant?

The majority of the charts say no whilst the speed of it moving towards us on the Radar says yes.

Though it being 2c at the moment with everything all damp is a worry.

Looks like we could see a spell of heavy/very heavy snow here soon enough judging by the radar.

The flakes are bigger here now and it's started settling.

Not even a drop/flake here yet. Snow? What's the worst this snow can do!? :D

(Doing that so the 'weather gods' will get angry and give me more!)

I think this lot is intensifying. I thought as much about half hour ago with cloud structure that wouldn't look out of place in the Summer prior to a thundery breakdown.

11:00am METO radar shows brighter colours from east Exeter/Hereford/Cheltenham and north. And has got Birmingham written all over it. :D Shame this isn't during the early hours. But that said, maybe convection is playing a part so...

Sit back and enjoy when it arrives in your local vicinity. :)

Phil.

NW V5 Radar would suggest the proper begining of this front is now at around Bromsgrove.
