Does anyone know if the weather coming over the channel is likely to do anything later tonight when it reaches the uk?

On UKww they are saying heavy rainfall for Southern Coastal fringes, W Sussex, Hampshire, IOW.

Well a remarkably quiet day here considering the setup and amount of CAPE supposedly around. Had one very heavy shower at about 1.30 and another heavyish one at 4.30 but thats it really. Real let down! Hope we get something tomorrow ??

Missed all the showers here, although cape and LI were pretty good today, had a good 2 thunderstorms this year so im fairly happy with that.

FTW, 2 thunderstorms this afternoon.

Both storms had some very nice sounding thunder. 1st Storm delivered a right torrential downpour too! Didnt see lightning as i was deep inside the classroom but detectors show plenty of lightning about.

yep was about 40-50 mins ago.no lighting though.apparently theres a storm in stirling,hopefully it moves south

That might be the CB I can see to my East here. Also a CB just going up to my north, will I finally get my first rumble of thunder of the year? Doubt it

Potent little storm has popped up here, dark clouds overhead with a bit of light rain, one rumble of thunder. Seems to be very local, but getting larger before my eyes.

Another loud crack of thunder... OMG first storm of the year!

Just heard the rumble, when it first started raining thought it would pass quickly but very heavy rain for a while

Prolonged heavy rain shower here with a rumble of thunder that scared me as i didn't see a flash and wasn't expecting it.....its now heading towards North Doncaster .

Very little rain here, but I can see this storm nicely, looks like it's right over Hertford and Bengeo. Just saw a nice IC lightning, first lightning I've seen all year, and another now! Really loud crack them boom a few seconds later.

can here the rumbles but the rain has been intense here, ware road is like a river at the moment only just stopped

EDIT : Quite frequent lighting , mostly IC.

getting rumbles from the storm over ware/hertford and there's some mammatus too! which i have taken amateurish photo's of looks like i may get the edge of it, just hoping it stays electrified

On the radar it's turned into a 15 mile long line of storm, I can see some nice IC lightning but the rain has stopped, very weird light.

Nice one, I'm getting a very nice mammatus display from it. Some of the best i've ever seen in this country
