This time last year it was bloody baltic in Devon (Plymouth),as was the year before that, and the year before that also.

Looks like it is back to the mild winters we are accustomed to then ??..So warm today,i had to have one of these.

Oh well another non-white Christmas.

Come on Jan and Feb do your worst and not wind and rain. Alas I got a feeling it's just going to be wind and rain this winter.

Some absolutely stunning cirrus around this morning which made the sunrise look fantastic. Very mild this morning. Dare I say, it's one layer of clothes weather?

Good morning fellow SE'ers! Sorry I'm late to the thread, but like the first cuckoo of the summer perhaps I’m the portent to the first signs of winter??

It was nice to see some wet snow last week for some wasn’t it? Today is a lovely day! Sunny and rather warm, makes me wish I was out there but I’m stuck at work.

:aggressive: Last day today so let the festivities begin, a Christmas of eating, drinking and fervent model watching awaits! :clapping:

Tomorrow's cold front looks as though it could be interesting, more in terms of rainfall rather than snow :-( the NMM shows a convergence line running south east across the country with some quite strong deep layer/low level shear across the front. Skywarn have an early watch out for this as well. Something to watch maybe?

Well everyone what a remarkable temperature contrast to the last 2 years at this stage!!

We went to visit my wife's Nan yesterday, has anyone else seen all the daffodils in flower near Yeovil? I think they are on verges lining the A359, 4 months early or 8 months late lol?

  • April 2024 - Was it that cold overall? A look at the statistics

General perception from many is that April was a cold month, but statistics would suggest otherwise, with the average temperature for the whole month coming in just above the 30 year average for the UK as a whole.
