Not you, windy enough for you already I bet.

Some sort of answer to my question is provided by this.

Hope he isn't going via Whiteways roundabout at the top of Bury Hill as the road is blocked there by a fallen tree. I suppose he could go via Amberly but then he is just as likely to find a fallen tree that way.

He hasn't text anymore, hope he finds another route. Thank you.

I just had a really nasty squal come in off the irish sea, easy to see on the radar, temp droped 2.5c in about 15 minute.

does that constitute a cold front ?

looks heavy on my poor mans radar.

using my untrained eye i'll suggest it looks to be forming into a very long squall line, north cornwall to liverpool?

pressure drop has slowed now from 3.3 to 1 mb/hr

The front is right on the edge of the cloudline so cold front currently running up thru wales see image below

So showers following could become wintry

Still a bit windy but not as bad as I thought it was going to be IMBY anyway.

Sustained 21.6mph gusting 30.4mph

Pressure still falling 1.8mb/hr now at 984.2mb

temp rising 12.3c DP 11.5

Rain today is at 19.2mm falling at 3.4mm/hr

Not expecting much more tonight to be honest but its still looking like us in the South still have Thur\Fri to look forward to, with the Met still going for a strong storm across the South.

Most helpful Pyro, cheers. Treiagonaut, you seem to be spot on!

Another update like that one in another hour or two would be most helpful but I think most will be trying to sleep by then.

What temps do we have guys n gals? I'm somewhere in the warm sector with a AT of 10.3c, maybe this way we can track the front in REAL TIME? :drinks:

Wet Regards

I'm kind of delighted that I'm not the only person who's discovered that they own a leaky conservatory tonight. At least all of my trees are still standing.

Just take a quick peek on floodwarn if no one here to answer for location of cold front later, it will basically follow the line of cloud accross the Country.

I estimate it will be near London about 3am and will have cleared south UK by 06z
