Starting to update again now, the cold front doesn't look much on the latest images, certainly no evident squall line forming which has been hinted at.

I apologise for this Liam, but best to remind folk not to forget the regional threads for their local areas and their local reports.

Wind really getting up here now and pressure has been dropping dramatically, 6mb in an hour! I have a bad feeling about tonight and I haven't felt this all winter in spite of it being windy.

Does anybody know of any ppn radars that aren't stuck on 19.30?

Winds getting ever stronger here...

wind speed of 39 mph

wind gust of 61 mph.

Considering yesterdays max wind gust was 50 mph I'm quite surprised.

I'm not sure whether a yellow warning is sufficient though, perhaps orange.

Really windy now, gusts reaching 65mph+

And to think you don't even have a warning for your area!

And to think you don't even have a warning for your area!

Netweather have an alert in force for the severe gales and rainfall, Meto do mention severe gales in the yellow rain warning.

But yesterday morning gusts were 75-80mph and only a yellow warning was in force from the Met!
