Wind gusts getting stronger here. Really is blowing hard.

Crosby recorded 67mph gust this evening - I thought is was worse than the other day and for us here it is!

I know, it definitely feels worse, tonight has been underestimated for sure. There's a creepy howl coming down from the chimney into the living room and it's getting worse. In addition I feel there may be some stuff going for a burton in the garden!

It is wild here... lost the sat for the NUFC-MUFC for a good 5 mins and it's been iffy for the whole match. 60mph gusts with lamposts and trees alike hanging on for dear life.

Gusting to 58mph here mainly when these showers pass through. The Met Office have increased my gusts for 3am now to 77mph.

Looking at the GFS 18z its downgraded the winds for tomorrow and the wind for the Eastern England looks to have been downgraded a lot still can see 60 to 70mph gusts though.

I live in central Nottingham on 6 th floor of an apartment block exposed to the westerly wind. It is blowing far far more violently than it was yesterday!!

Winds are defo stronger here tonight than yesterday, have been watching that cold front develop on the radar, to me it just seemed to appear from nowhere?

Wind is howling, mean speeds around 45mph max gust 67mph.

Unusual for Keswick to record mean speeds that high so far inland as it's very sheltered, 35mph gust 55mph.

many places seeing gusts 60-70mph now.

I did post last night how nasty it was here in leyland,lancashire in north west, but i have to say tonight that wind is howling and its sustained winds too, alot alot stronger than last night, last night was very nasty gusts but this is sustained and i live in front of a small woodlands that surrounds a big park and i can see the massive trees bending, quite frightening here at the mo and its getting worse. I cant tell you the wind speeds as ive no way of measuring it.

Hi again, im from your neck of the woods arent i. So its about 60mph in preston, seems stronger than that to me, but it is sustained isnt it. I wouldnt dare go out in that, scary!

Ah yes lol how did you guess!! Lol i think the big park gave it away! Yeah my parents live right in front of it, the back gate goes straight into worden woodlands.
