Well looks like a widespread ground frost with an air frost in places away from the towns tonight.

Currently 4.6c with a steady fall so -1 is quite possible I would think.

House is a tad on the chilly side this evening too at 14.9c but luckily I will be leaving soon and i'll have my cider blanket by the time I return

Definately a nip in the air tonight. I've actually succumbed and put the heating on. We also have the woodburner going and it is currently surrounded by cats and dogs.

Looks like I could get my coldest night if the season so far tonight.

Don't think it will be quite cold enough for an air frost IMBY, but I would be surprised if I didn't get a ground frost.

Hope we get some more of these chilly autumnal but clear nights, lovely to star gaze!

Just back from town and its a chilly 0.6c currently with lots of frost visible on caers and grass, should just about make an air frost I think now.

Funny thing is because my weather station has dropped low in temperature and pressure is still fairly low it has a snow symbol on it!! first of the season!

The first properly crisp and frosty morning after a slight ground frost a few weeks ago, 1.0c at present which is the lowest it's been.

Clear and frosty morning, currently 2.2c and rising. Was surprised to still have to scrape the car at 9.30 this morning.and there were some gorgeous views as I drove into bristol with the mist and fog in valleys lower down.

First proper air frost over night with a low of -2.1c

Yes it is a shame we can't get a week or so of this kind of autumn weather! currently mainly clear with the occasional cloud 8.8c

A lovely day on the whole, very pleasant in the sun. However we did have a brief hail shower at around 11.30am and one or two other very light showers since.

The view of the somerset levels from mendip this morning was AMAZING... Inversion at its best. Everyone was stopping to take a look. LOVE autumnal days like this.

Looking like a changeable week now, with some heavy rain around at times interspersed by some sunnier, more convective - like days.

And that after today was touted for most if not all of last week to be a good day! But of course we were at similar time frames forecast to have a woeful day yesterday and what happened? Yesterday was gorgeous throughout!

I fould it hard while out working this morning to decide which way the rain was coming from, such was the amount of cloud in between the showers - unlike the

last few weeks when Bristol Channel shower streamers have had sunshine either side and in between the showers.Having reviewed the radar the showers have gradually changed direction through the morning and are now moving WSW-ENE rather than WNW-ESE..
