Bright and breezy this morning, though we've already had an odd shower. 9 C currently in a brisk West wind.

It's been a fascinating morning to be outside working.

Plenty of sunshine and a succession of light/sharp showers racing ESE from the Bristol Channel which have always died out just after getting to the edge of Salisbury Plain near Westbury/Warminster.

I was out in Westbury between 07.00-12.15 and there were 7 separate showers which lasted no longer than 5 minutes, at one stage as one died out just after passing the next one could be seen arriving and producing a rainbow.

The process is still underway now.

On another point, it's yet another day where the predictions on forecasts have mentioned no showers but lo and behold they are happening.

Washing out, sun shining although looking out of the window I can see a few cumulus clouds building over the sound and rain forecast this evening.

Some serious rain very close to you guys going by radar!

My bedroom has a bay window with a lead roof... the harder the better. You can't buy that S### on CD.

A nice soaking 14mm of rain overnight, adding to the yearly excess, sets us in good stead as we head towards winter, so even if it is a dry one, we are prepared.

A bright and dry start to the day here with not as much wind and rain as expected. Mild at 10C currently.

Again, blue skies in Plymouth and pretty clear over the sound. Quite breezy though.

Goodness, I saw on radar there are some beefy looking showers, but wasn't expecting hail today with the flow being from the SSW. I guess the upper air

is cold enough still.

Yes I was a little suprised I checked the bbc forecasts after and no mention of hail just the odd rumble of thunder possible, either way I don't think my little miniature cyclemen and viola's were too impressed being battered out there.
