You sure spurs played at home that night? 95/96 season. this got abandoned but it was at Forest's ground

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMF6Uizft_g

I was not a hundred percent sure and was trying to find out on the

internet last night without success. Cheers.

Blizzard conditions were quite widespread over the east midlands,

east Anglia and the southeast that evening.

I'm following laminate floori on twitter so hoping he'll post a forecast soon. I would trust laminate floori over Madden, so hoping he's on the ball this year.

I do think the vortex is going to land over Siberia this year, and if we get on the western side of it, we could have a tremendous winter.

I would trust laminate floori over Madden,

That's a bit like saying you'd trust Tony Blair over Myra Hindley. Still doesn't mean there's any WMDs though...

Blizzard conditions affected Hertfordshire on the 18th or 19th of February 1996 although

after 50 mins to an hour the conditions moderated somewhat.

Tottenham were also playing at home that night with an orange ball but conditions

became so bad the game was abandoned.

Big Joe is an excitable chap on the Twitter, he loves a good ramp. The weatherbell models looked good when released on a preliminary basis before being commercialised. Ryan Maue is involved there and that guy knows his stuff..

And he does have more credibility than Madden who only seems to post data which is clearly cherry picked.

joe is a professional (if controversial) weather forecaster. madden is a lorry driver with an interest in the weather, who started his own website with a view to making a name for himself by predicting (every year so far, but funnily enough not this one...) extreme winters. not that he is saying this year will be mild of course- its still a silly forecast. (how ironic, if this winter turned out to be one of his "snowmaggedons"!!)

If we are in a new phase of cooler than avg winters then, unfortunately, he's going to be more hit than miss which will only boost his ego and his creditably with the Daily Express.

That explains his cold forecasts then, just trying to sell extra winter tyres

Joe laminate floori got the winter of 2010/2011 correct when he said it would be a bad one (at least for the first half of it). Although it could be luck of the draw I do think he knows what he is talking about. At such long range it is hard to be accurate though and its more like a 60/40 stab with his meteorological knowledge to help with which is the 60. The UK is also very small and so he could forecast a harsh winter across Europe and then whilst Europe freezes the UK basks in milder temperatures (like last year). His forecast, however, would still have been very good.

maybe he does now but i had a few 'discussions' with him before he was (in)famous, on the daily mail forum (i know... i know... but i couldn't help myself when he started spouting off!!). he was a lorry driver then. suits him though, because we are all getting 'tyred' of his forecasts!whistling.gif
