Thinking back briefly to what Paul said re November 2010, that was the night Mrs Plum was stuck on the a217 for hours... When the snow relented, there was still well over a foot - i think Banstead may have got more (it often does!)

The feb 09 snow 'only' gave 10 inches in Reigate!

With the exception of parts of Surrey/south London most people seemed to get more snow on the November 10 streamer event it seemed, although the Feb 09 event was great as it had been so long since anything like it had occurred in many areas! I remember 2010 being in awe at the continuous snow and i remember there begin short time upgrades to the longevity which was really exciting at the time, hoping for more of the same once we get the easterly flow in place at the weekend:-))

Just got back from a 23 mile MTB ride across the north downs in Kent. I was expecting the ground to be frozen, but there are still quite a few puddles and the temperature seemed to go up further into the ride. Definitely nowhere near as cold as last night.

As long as I can get home from work at croydon up to addington tomorrow il be fine

Thinking it could be a long walk if the trams muck up

Which doesn't take much on gravel hill
