Also to give you an idea of how dry the air that will be advected into the South tomorrow, take a look at Le Touquet on XC, -7c Dewpoint, Le Havre also down at -6c. This super dry air will be making itself felt along the south coast early tomorrow morning as the front moves in which should give you coasties a great shot!

Marginal, anyone?

If, after all this, tomorrow is another slushfest (we've had a couple here this week), I'm gonna....

Mind you, ground is frozen solid right now. Air temp on or slightly unda freezing

I don't get you.

Okay so last week was a let down but it was forecast to be rain days before it arrived.

Tomorrow is forecast to be snow less then 12 hours from now so why on earth do you still think it won't be?

Can anyone answer my question??? Just new to all this streamer talk lol

I would say too early to say that the moment. It depends on the wind direction south of east or north of east and how wide the streamer gets and also it's intensity.

Streamers

For people along the south side of the Estuary you need a EENE wind-

For people along the North Side of the Estuary you need a EESE Wind-

For mid kent slapper

A ENE wind

For the East kent dangler whatever it is-

A NE / NNE wind...

this is not the only thing-

you need steep gradients between the body of water & unstable air-

il try

I think an ENE affects north London

And an ESE affects south London

There is a lot more to it than that

But that's a very rough idea

Probably completely wrong but thought I would have a go

Still learning myself mate

I don't think there'll be any issues with marginality tomorrow.

Nearly!

The ENE Affects both side of the Estuary, and it cuts off the Northern Part East London

So SE & South Essex does well from an ENE, That shower train crosses the River at Dartford and goes onto affect SE London and in good Streamers Surrey (See 2009) 52cm

The ESE Affects Herne Bay and areas along the South Side of the Thames upto Gravesend, crosses the river and affect the North of London and in extreme cases Herts and Middlesex etc

Btw People in the Anglia Thread reporting settling snow in Norwich and most areas from the Blob.

Also just to note have never received even a shower from a ESE Streamer but can only think of 1 since Netweather was set up so quite a rare beast!
