NAE accumulation charts look very good, much better for inland areas.

If NAE came to fruition, then I genuinely believe this good be a really good event for us. A fair few hours of heavy snow.

It will certainly be nice to see actual big flakes of snow lol yesterday was nice to see but Tomorrow looking better

http://www.flutracke...ad.php?t=180823 look at these pics, now i like snow but not that much!

Insane snowfall from the most beautiful country on the planet. I'd be happy living buried in snow half of the year.

Snizzling well here, looking at the radar it seems to be dropping down to us off the front of that area in the N Sea off Scarborough.

Be nice if it picks up again.

been flicking through the last few frames of radar.... is it me or is something bubbling up

Pity it tends to be unreliable may have improved since I stopped using it. Got fed up with 30mm being predicted and just getting 3mm. Still NMM isn't too shabby either. As ever time will tell.

It was really good for the recent snowfalls, so I wouldn't dismiss it so easily.

I don't think we need to be worrying how far west it is now, it's the marginal uppers we want to be worried about lol, especially for those near the coast.

gfs-2-42.png?12

I know its an issue for the coasts, but for inland parts like us, I actually think the Westward extend of the snowfall will be the biggest player, rather than the uppers/dp's or other marginalities.

the op is very touch and go in terms of the extent of things. You could be right about being East of the pennines as a rule of thumb. I think 5-8cms is possible still for us in the West, and Tuesday's heavy showers could add some cms on top of that.

GFS pushes the heavy PPN right to the Pennines, so looking good. Rain appears to be confined to the coasts. Shows a few hours of heavy snow for many areas.

High resolution GFS model going for over 9hrs of decent precipitation tomorrow, could be quite an event this one.

Tuesday the same time:

78-777.GIF?19-12

A definite bank for the Leeds-Bradford folk!

EDIT: At this range, we cannot even know the extent of tomorrow's/Monday's snow so its too far out yet for this to be taken at face value. Sunday night/Monday morning could still only deliver a few cms for us western yorkshire folk or the 5-8cms progged here. Basically, the showers on Tuesday would double the snow totals for some if this is to be believed. (take with a pinch of grit salt).
