It's turned to sleet here but higher elevations and east and north of Exeter should expect a pretty heavy snowfall for a couple hours, grrrr lol

Yes I think I may head up towards Stoke Woods later as there will be some good snow up there. I went up there last night and it was beautiful! I've also just noticed a large mass of heavy precipitation to the south of Newton Abbot and I would imagine, based on its current movements, it is heading towards Exeter! Fingers crossed!!

Very heavy precipitation towards South East Devon - is it falling as sleet/snow? Will be a difficult rush hour if its falling as wintry precipitation!

Looks more like its missing Exeter (the main part anyway) and heading toward Honiton.

Quick one for those NNW of Salisbury. The echoes on the radar are falling as sleet down here, so you might see a bit further North.

Edit - It's now snow.

Sleet/snow shower in Warminster, snow in heavier bursts.

Edit : radar shows a streamer developing from Southampton/Portsmouth and heading roughly NNW so whether there will be snow

issues locally in a narrow line of Hampshire into Wiltshire this evening remains to be seen.

I feel very sorry for all the ones without snow and I expect you don't really want to know that it has never stopped snowing here today either.

Wasn't expecting another 9 hours of the stuff at all!! And still it keeps on falling. I'm lower than Brendon Hill so they must be getting loads up there.

Heavy snow in North Dorset not sure if this is from the streamer your talking about?

Im just outside Salisbury (Pitton) and we just had an intense snowstorm and now it has eased to light/moderate. Settling better today!

First burst just arrived here. Looking hopeful. Heavy but fine snow which is instantly settling.

I wonder if this precip coming out of Portsmouth area is going to be bigger than forecast...no talk of heavy snow heading towards m4 from the south
