Just been out to move my wife's car (rear wheel drive, facing sharply uphill, seemed a good idea today to face it downhill) and I noticed that the North Downs have disappeared!

Let me re-phrase that to avoid undue alarm. The North Downs have disappeared from view. Heaviest snow of the day so far here, settling with a bit more enthusiasm, although not as widely as I would have expected given the temperature of -1.5c and a DP of -6.0c

Looks like fun on the Channel Islands....

AS

Edit: and with that almost immediately back to the lighter stuff here.

Looks like Sussex is the place to be today.

Enjoy all you lucky Sussexonians.

The rest of us will have to scrape as much as we can from any shower trains.

It's rare, but you could be right good.gif

Wow, we're actually having horizontal 20p flakes blowing snow right now. Husband says nothing from Uxbridge through to A3 junction of M25 when it started to snow. Have reassured him it's likely to just be a shower as I'm off to Sutton now and then it's back to Uxbridge for school run. Am enjoying it while it lasts.

Not really uckfield has only got a dusting. It is very localise at the moment. I'm just a bit too far south for the train of showers

Gurnsey shall turn to snow soon, if Jersey has then you can bet any money Gurnsey is probably a matter of an hour or so away from heavy snow.,

The front will pivot around them, so there is certainly a chance for a record March fall in the channel Islands I'd have thought, 6-8 inches quite widely by 12z Tuesday IMO.

It looks like London is in an unfortunate dry zone, too far south for the trains of ppn coming in from NE and too far north for the channel ppn

full blown bona fide blizzard in the city of london right now- heaviest i've seen in london all winter

London to receive nothing apart from a few flakes as per my prediction last night.

Its at times like these where you feel like giving up you're hobby of weather watching esp snow.

But on your own analysis LS you believe your prediction is correct, so why would you give up?unknw.gif
