I think it's a question of when the front pivots and we get the next lot of PPN feeding in along the frontal boundary.

just listened to BBC regional news sounds fantastic here, another 20cms today before the ppn that went past us sinks south and peps up over night.

as you say pivot.(could be piviting overnight

cheers.

Hasn't settled on roads at all here yet. Pretty dissapointing, as now I have to go to work. Only about 2cm on cars. Looking at the radar we never got heavy stuff over us here, typical!

A covering on the grass here but very slushy on pavements and net settled at all on roads. Fantastic for end of March though :)

Had about 2 inches of snow here in Telford, turned to drizzly rain now though and drip drip drip, NAE is amazing for this evening/tonight though, much further south than GFS.

Looks like 9 hours of thawing now though before the next band sets it and drags the colder air back in.

One thing I've noticed this winter is we do better when nobody else really does!

When it's a nation/region wide event we do poorly compared to most. Still, gonna be a lot of window watching at work today!

On the bus from Melton Mowbray to Leicester, light/moderate snow throughout.

However Melton has a nice covering, 2-3cm, but nothing in syston, and it seems to be getting more sparse the closer to Leicester I get!

Not a lot happening here expecting a largely dry day with most of what's settled melting before the snow returns later

Not alot here in Nottingham about 2cm of slushy snow on my car this morning, not even a covering on the grass never mind roads paths etc. Hopefully tonight will bring the real stuff!

Well Dazz i think you should leave early if you can, really depends on if the place you are going to is high up as high ground is really bad already.. best thing for you to do is keep an eye on the BBC weather page and if it looks bad please dont attempt to go out in it.

Falling snow in north Leicester, but nothing settled. What a difference 15 miles makes!
