Latest GFS shows a wet end of the week for devon and cornwall rather than a white one (apart from princetown obviously) sorry.gif

That looks very light and patchy I wouldn't worry too much.

Had a few grains of snow in the wind here this morning. there it is still in the gutter, not melted an hour later, at the end of March! I have been working out in this weather all winter, my face is burnt red, my cheeks and nose are so red in fact I look a garden gnome sometimes smiliz39.gif It is nice to be inside in the warm drinking tea now I must admit.

Well doesn't look like I'll maintain an ice day today although still pretty damn cold. -0.2c if and when it warms up it's going to be very interesting to see how fast everything explodes into full spring colours as nature has a habit of being able to catch up! Although it does have 6/7 weeks to catch up at the moment which is quite abit!

Indeed, much sunnier here today than expected and the same across Cornwall but Sat24 suggests cloud building in again soon maybe. My last day in Kernow today until at least the 28th April as I go back to the Midlands for the hols. Ill still be around in here though. This thread is far better than the Midlands one. :D

We have a little snow forecast, but I think its just going to be flakes blowing around in the wind to be honest!!

More cold, rather cloudy at times and dry days to come for the next week or so;

Lets hope April brings something much warmer interspersed with some April convective activity.

Given that friday is a struggle for anything white the suggestion for something white the other side of the weekend seems even less likely given the warming of the air over the lead into the weekend

The best I can find for those still looking for snowfall is this little snippet taken from the Met Office forecast for next week;

"The far southwest will probably be cloudier with some rain or drizzle, and this may then start to edge northeastwards into other southwestern areas, perhaps turning to sleet or snow for a time. Remaining cold, with widespread overnight frost and icy patches."

Other than that, predominantly cold and dry for he foreseeable still.

I was looking at charts on Saturday that were showing sub-zero temps down here and wind chill factors of below -6°C.

In reality, it has not been below freezing, last time was a week ago. While it is chilly outside, it's the nothing like was projected.

Currently 3.4°C and it's brightening up.

Temperature only rose above zero briefly here in West Berks today and has already sunk back down. A couple of brief flurries too.

Brassic.

Well, have had some light "snizzle" all afternoon, so after school pick up, I suggested to my 8 year old daughter that we drive higher on to the moor to see if it was any heavier up there.

Can you believe she wanted to go straight home!!!!! Is this what 21st century children are made of?

Well the ground must be cold enough for laying snow quite widely by now... 3 ice days in a row and many bordering that, ground is frozen solid cold.gif On a positive though my snowdrops have been stuck in flower for weeks now they just don't die rofl.gif As for the daffs I think they may have just about given up on this spring.

Not sure if already posted but..

Updated 72hr fax

fax72s.gif?26-12

Compared to this mornings 84hr (for same time period)

fax84s.gif?25-0

Ditched the idea of the triple point and instead have two seperate fronts, hard to tell whether these may swing enough for a dusting, have to wait and see, but interesting none the less.

Also the trough Ian commented on yesterday about not having much support is back, and is flirting with the far SE Thursday lunchtime
