I remember that storm!

Did you ever see the radar footage before it appeared? It actually showed as PURPLE on the radar and exploded into life. It was like booms and explosions in the distance long before it arrived...

Not seen a storm like that ever again.

Great times, I remember how hot it was that day stuck to the plastic seats in my mini metro on the M11, was going to pub when this storm attacked Braintree Essex.

What is cool is how fast it went dark as the storm approached, like a total eclipse.

Fair comment Tamara, and I would imagine it's no fun if you dislike thunderstorms so you have my sympathy there. I used to be terrified of them many moons ago, and would hide in a cupboard under the stairs in my ( much ) younger years. I have no idea how and why my attitude towards them did a complete u-turn, but it did.

Now I would happily go chasing a storm, and quite often have. The sheer power of nature holds me in awe, and in our small island a thunderstorm is about as good as it gets.

Is that a possible squall front heading our way ??         ....it looks like one on the radar. Channel islands in the firing line.

What a glorious morning, sun sparking on the water droplets on my newly cleaned car, very little wind and cases all packed for our cruise to the canaries, which we all need after this long winter. Hope the wether calms down for you back home and the summer starts whilst we are away.

Regards

Kerry. (Ps come on Brighton)

Morning all.

Blue sky's and sun.

Hard to think it's going to rain.

Cant believe the temps are dropping again next week.

Snow up north Monday?

Not impressed!

Mornin each. Well, I've resorted to donning my winter woolly today. I'm colder than a tax mans heart.

Have a good week-end everyone. :)
