that's a Beuty Andy - one of my faavorite places, and always seemed to get a direct hit from storms when I used to be there in the 90's!

Lightening seems to have died off here in Seaton. Is it looking like it may pick up again?

It all seems to be dying off, comparing the radar returns now to what was visible earlier is quite depressing.

Hi everyone, really great to read the reports! I have seen some distant flashes to my south west and I'm in Waterlooville, a bit north of Portsmouth so I was surprised to see them from here but pleased none the less. Posted Image

Still rumbles and flashes but quieter and less of, the rain abated a good 20 minutes ago as well. A taste of things to come I think (hope).

Shame to see this MCS dying but later on tonight we can expect things to start off again, further inland.

a bit of a lull in sferic detections over the past 20 mins, as storms are struggling to push northwards (this does tie in hi-res modeling).....that's not to say of course that further cells will erupt overnight as the theta-e plume continues to destabilize ......next NMM hi-res run out in the next 30 mins
