It snowed here for about three hours this morning . Just as it was starting to lay it stops and has just been drizzle rain since

some sleet/wet snow here earlier but now just rain. was snowing but not quite lying up the road at 200mts asl so prob only lying snow above 250 -300mts.

To my eyes it will mean the end of the high pressure making it sink south unless the low undercuts which is very doubtful. If that low do undercut then it would be a snow fest somewhere! Something tells me that come Monday/Tuesday then that low will look nothing like that. Lol. Anyways back to tonight/tomorrow there could be a chance for some areas seeing snow! Its certainly cold enough with ice already on the cars.

Drizzle finaly cleared! Frost starting to set in. Hopefully we will see some snow showers over night. We will see in the morning ;-)

Not much, actually. Looking at that chart the low centre will follow the thickness contours (so more or less along the coloured contours) for a bit until it starts to occlude and curve to the left (north), away from us. What it would do would be help pump heights northeastwards and contribute towards any collections that are going around for a Scandi high...

From the sound of it Ireland has totally missed the snow fest across the water. Blowtorch south westerlies are better than 3c and rain!

Doesn't mean I don't love the snow still best 2 months of winter to come plenty of time yet!

Merry Christmas all! Snowing here the past 30mins. Really big flakes and quite heavy at times. 2.4 degrees.

Have had showers on and off today but lovely big flakes at the minute and the place turned white very quickly. 1.4 degrees and dropping.
