I had the lightest of dusting this morning and in Eskra they had a good 1cm. Still very cold.

Still raining here, at 2.7C! The Galtees are partly cloud covered, but it seems that the snow line is up at about 500m.

MetO have issued snow warning covering NI from 5pm tonight.

I am working up in Bangor today. Looking at the radar there appears to be heavy precipitation around mid Ulster. Is this falling as snow?

Defo raining in Dungannon and Pomeroy town, some drops out here but no snow. I find the warning for snow weird, can understand the ice warning but not the snow

2.5C with moderate sleet falling, yet again. These marginal events can be frustrating at times... however, I am going to take a hike up the Galtees tomorrow, so they should have a good covering at this stage!

Thanks for the birthday wishes all! Just had sleet and rain today, nothing exciting! Currently at 1 degrees, dont think it was much warmer than that during daylight hours either.

Back down from the Galtees. Was cloud covered for about the last 3rd and I had no gps with me, so with the cliffs and frozen streams I decided no to risk climbing the peak. There was loads of snow though, especially above about 600m.

 

This is at about 500m, generally about 6" of snow, with drifts up to 3 or 4 feet.

 

 

 

This is up at about 6-700m, very hard to make out anything but there is a path under there! Snow depths were generally about 8-10" with drifts of up to 5'.

 

 

 

I have more pics, some from a little higher up, that I'll sift through and post up this evening or tomorrow.

Still lying snow and ice here that's the seventh day in a row, not bad definitely better than last year!!

Some difference in the east and west. Leaving work in Lisburn this afternoon at 4pm and it was 7℃ at Moira. By the time I was home it was 1℃ at 4.50pm. Still plenty of lying snow.

Yes Pomeroy. Next weekend looking interesting with a potential North/North Westerly Arctic blast. No sign of any longevity on it though and it could still all go East into the North Sea. Seen it many times before.
