Frost here overnight though temps did reach just above freezing at times in any cloudy spells,

The wind has backed to he north east so no cheshire gap showers now..

Minimum I recorded was -2.4C

At 09:00 it was -0.3C.

Sunnyish  day with possibly the cloud increasing from the North East later on.

MIA

I asked last night but nobody answered. If I were to go to Dovedale today would I see snow there?

Yes especially up Thorpe Cloud where you will have spectacular views, Not so sure down in the dale itself..

Well that will still be more than I can see here, except for a bit of residue that has remained on next doors collapsed fence panel that is. It'll be nice to have a walk in the country nonetheless.

Slate grey skies despite 'sunny' forecast, this month is definitely up there with the cloudiest on record now.

Disappointed that I saw no snow, but I really didn't expect much, though I got less than I expected. There may be a wintry spell of weather next week?

Well, this cold snap was absolute tosh down here in Oxford

Woke up to go to the toilet at 5am yesterday morning, it was rain\sleet at best. Then this evening, coming home from work, it feels bitterly cold and it starts to rain!! I checked xcweather on my phone as I felt sure it would be cold enough for snow but the temp was 3c with a dew of 1.5c at the time. So this cold snap was a case of close but not close enough down here.
