Not even had a gust over 30mph here yet, very calm so far and looks quite nice out, was expecting it to get quite bad already. Will see in the next hour or so if anything changes.

Main part of the storm looks slightly later than planned initially. Looks like late morning/lunchtime may now be more of the focus.

Relatively calm here in Cardiff too at the moment, but wind picking up.

Must have rained a lot as Ceiriog River walloping by at a tremendous rate and looking very full.  Quite chilly but no wind to speak of.  A very over excited cat though!

In fact blue skies, slow moving clouds and very calm trees as in not waving about as opposed to chilled….

Starting to get a few stronger gusts now, unfortunately living in a bit of a dip I won't be able to record the true strength of the wind.

Same here in Bridgend I'd say - quiet then suddenly huge ferocious gust of wind then quiet again.

Absolutely nothing in Cardiff yet. It is very calm and quiet out there.

Well here in S Wales the wind turbines are still turning at 1300’ asl

I would have thought they would be turned away from the wind today

Guessing the strong winds aren't there yet then lol

Nothing of note here nearly an hour into the red warning (we are right on the edge of it here in RCT)

Ferocious headache and earache, so assume pressure dropping rapidly?

I just hope I haven't taken the day off work due to a stiff breeze!

Worst of the winds still out towards Cornwall and Southern Ireland, winds starting to pick up here in the gusts, within the next 2hrs I'd say the worst of the wind will start and things will change

The main event is more likely to occur between 11:00am and 1:00pm - here is the current UKMO wind gust chart for midday:

130km/h = 81mph gusts.  You’ll know when it gets this wild.   Will not necessarily be so bad in a sheltered valley, though.

There is a constant roar here, im guessing its from the wind along the coast line and higher up as im about 20m lower down than some of the surrounding houses and land keeping me sheltered, very weird having that constant roar in the background.
