Similar here, even in the thicker high cloud we were at 26C before 11am and now it is thinning we're at 27C with many hours of heating to go and a clearer picture further west on the satellite imagery. Definitely not a bust!

The sun has come out and within minutes we've shot up to 28.0C. If it does clear properly this afternoon then 30C certainly looks likely.

Yep, it feels extremely warm already!

In 42 years we've only hit 30C on 8 occasions here. Hard to believe we aren't even into the hottest days of this spell yet and we're only 2C off!

Yep we're close to the 30C mark as well, heading soon into the 29s with a fairly steady rise now. The high cirrus layer isn't doing much at all to mitigate the rise.

I'd need verification from @reef  who lives nearby with much better equipment ..
But my outdoor shade thermometer is currently reading 30.5 C

Phew.

Phew.

A max of 29.9C here so far. That puts it in the top 10 of warmest days since 1980.

The hottest Met Office station in the region is Leconfield Sar near Hull, that is 31C. That one is probably the best placed to take the record for an official station on Tuesday.

28C here, has been for a few hours. Unbearable heat the sun is throwing out, feels a lot hotter, really not looking forward to the next 60 hours.

It has been a hot one, hasn't it? Temperatures have held in the 29s most of this afternoon, briefly topping 30C an hour or so ago. Still 29.3C now and it is toasty.

Netweather forecast showing 36C tomorrow and 40C on Tuesday. In fact, by 10m Tuesday we’re forecast to be hotter than Monday’s max temperature, which would already be a record here.

As for today, a high of 31C. Currently 27C.

It has completely clouded over now but the temp is still 23.4C. Could well see a very high minimum overnight.

It's significant for tomorrow as tonight wasn't supposed to be as warm so we'll be starting tomorrow's temperature rise from a higher base.

Just been out to water the plants and i was surprised how warm it was still, higher base temp tonight to start things off tomorrow it would seem!
