By eck it was a warm one today. Max of 31.2c here this afternoon making it the hottest day of the year and the 2nd hottest day I've recorded since 2016.

Escaped to Flamborough to get a sea breeze and we actually came off the beach at 13.30pm as wife got a bit grumpy with how cold it was. 😆

Amazing watching the car thermometer rise as we headed back to Malton 30 miles inland.

Still 23.6c at 21.50 and its mad to think we about to have 2 more hotter days.

Harvest still going strong tonight, farm opposite my cottage still got tractors relaying in and out, corn carting into the late evening, moisture must still be low enough to keep the combine going!

What's happening? Its still very cloudy here. Meant to be sunny in the morning but not sure atm.

Topped 31c here today currently 22.4c wow and it's WARM!

BUT THIS CLOUD??

It isn't meant to be sunny first thing. It never was. 

If the models are to be wrong it'd need to still be fully cloudy come 9am. Should be clearing well after 8am especially.

It was a hot night, but it’s feeling pleasantly fresh this morning at 18c with light cloud cover (can see some blue sky through the cloud). It’s by 9am here that the party should be starting, so I’m off to enjoy a dog walk whilst it’s cool.

That’s true it’s a very weird start to the day bit like been abroad when you wake up early doors and it’s a bit cooler but a tropical smell in the air!

Enjoy the cool while you can I’ve just had a early gym session before it got to sticky.

Stop talking nonsense and actually read what people post or look at the models yourself. ALL models show high cloud for our region for the first few hours of this morning - this IS forecast.

Yesterday was not a bust, models showed high cloud forecast for much of the day with hazy sunshine. Temperatures were forecast to peak 29-31C and across the region they did.

You will be reported if you keep posting deliberately misleading and factually incorrect posts 👎

Meant to be cloudy today here till almost midday, but the sun is already breaking through. It could be the same as yesterday, where temperatures are higher than forecasted due to clearer skies.

It is much thinner high cloud here this morning and the last few frames on sat24 show the area to be getting gradually smaller, too. At least across the south of the region I'd say we're in line with forecasts breaking it up entirely not long after 9am.

22.3C already at 8.10am. It took until 10am to reach 20C yesterday and we got to 30.8C.

We're a good way ahead today and it's sunnier!

Top temperature on my Eve Weather in the garden yesterday was 29.1C at 15:40

Had an overnight low of 23.0C

Currently 24.0C as of 08:50

Be interesting to see what we get to today, but overall I'm counting down the hours to Tues night/Weds morning!

Currently at 22.3c over here, a bit of a fresh breeze under shade. It's early ofc but I can't see reaching 34c as METO predicts. Possibly 32-33c. 

38c for tomorrow per METO again, can't see it happening. Maybe briefly a 36c around 4pm.
