Must admit i'm jealous of those in the NE, even if it is a bit dangerous/damaging I do like a good stormy spell. We haven't had 90mph in Lanarkshire since Jan 3rd a few years back (2013?) ... currently barely reaching 40mph here.

Quick question what would be my estimate wind gust down in Bo’ness as I’m only an hour away from the edge of the red warning and currently in the amber

A bit windy with sleety rain here in Falkirk, nothing too bad just yet.

Just had to head out to pick up my gf from work. Journey home was quite hairy, trees down everywhere and had to come across the parks for the last section from the main road.

Lovely old cedar down blocking our track sadly. Temperature seems to have risen a bit so the snow from earlier has been replaced by driving sleet.

I hope you've saved some snow for me for Thursday onwards can't wait to get home.

Funnily enough next Thursday is forecast to drop off quite a bit with snow. Not before reaching mid teens this weekend. Good timing! I bet you can’t wait! ❄️

Wind sounds like a heavy lorry going past the front door. Not enjoying this at all. Husband is a great help - earphones clamped to lugs; listening to the soaps

Lost power for a few mins earlier.

Weird sounds outside at times. As quick a look as possible and all gairden furniture, sheds etc still present and correct. Fir the now at least.

Dugs dinnae seem too keen about going out for a pee.

EDIT. Nae snaw, jist pish.

Thats the power back on.   What’s scarier than  the wind is how much we rely on T’internet these days.  Anyway,  kids enjoyed the card games with by torch and candle light.  I read earlier that we are to hit peak gusts around 9pm.  Does anyone know if that is still the case ?
