Why wasn’t I informed that the snow elves were coming? I mean, they didn’t exactly put in a full shift, but they were here. Fleetingly. And what did Diablo have to say about this? Diablo, he sleep through whole thing. Until now. Now Diablo, he say snow. Now that I can see it out the window. Anyone want a very badly behaved weather station? I’m upgrading. To something approaching competent.

Temperature is currently 0.7⁰C up from -1.7⁰C at 01:09, humidity is 92%, it’s currently calm with a maximum gust of 2mph before dawn, pressure is 1006.9hPa steady, there’s been no precipitation in the last 24 hours (?) (according to Diablo), and cloud cover is 8/8 but thin enough to allow a reasonably bright day.

A light dusting here in Bearsden and can see that there was a fresh dusting at home in Western Dundee too. Looks like pretty much everywhere got at least a flurry. Nice for Autumn.

Couple of inches across Upper Tweeddale. Unexpected snow (except for those clever Norwegans) is always the best! The kitten doesn't know what to do with himself. Eighth air frost at -3.3C and currenlty -0.4C at 11am.

Not as much snow as others but starting to feel very seasonal. Walk round the village which started with grey skies and the mist really coming down before it just lifted and cleared in the space of 15 mins.

I'd intended to head up to Spittal of Glenshee today but I never like to miss the first lying snow at home, even if it's only 2cm....so it was an early stroll from the door  Nice to see the reservoir frozen over so early, although that's mainly cos there's so little water in it!

A quick check in as out in Inverurie atm. Lost power at 16:15 Fri, and still not on this morning. Hopefully later today but not holding my breath. We have wood stove for heating and gas hob for cooking but otherwise its dark ages stuff. Even mobile network is down as whole Alford area is out. No damage to garden or house though so that's good. I'll be back when we return to the 2020s.

Still no power, water, Internet etc etc. Nipped into Aberdeen to pick up supplies and a generator.

Bit 9f snow, lots of wind and a ridiculous amount of collapsed trees.

First November snowfall in years down here, maybe since 2010. Couple cms, lovely scenes. Shame it’s to turn milder and i’m working so can’t get out in it but hopefully just a taste of things to come!

Light covering overnight in Motherwell but it has pretty much all melted away now. It's not the earliest I can remember snow here but it is quite rare in November.

Snow showers first thing, now dry and sunny with about 3mm lying snow.

Light winds, 1c currently.

No sight or sound of any engineers at the powerlines that are down nearby so just waiting on another message to tell us its another cold night ahead (Alford academy already announced they are closed tomorrow).

Got to say the SSEN fault reporting system is deceitful as since Friday night it has said that there are engineers on site whereas in reality they've still to visit.  Why not be trueful and actually say fault reported, awaiting repair crew allocation.

Evening everyone, sporadic mobile signal, no broadband but faring better than much of Banchory as my water was restored last night and we’ve had power since around 10pm on Friday.

As a result of the outages this past couple of days, I’ve decided that the time has come to replace my electric hob with a gas hob so if we end up in a similar situation in the future, at least I’ll have a means of cooking a hot meal.

Flurries of snow throughout yesterday and today and it felt bitterly cold last night on my way home from a friend’s house.  PWS isn’t transmitting data seeing as the broadband is down however so no idea how cold it got.

A nice calm wintry day with a few flurries this morning to be followed by a sunny afternoon with a maximum temperature of 3c.

Early am a lot of  snow covered hills across the Firth to the north.

Late afternoon with one  of my favourite winter views of a fading northerly airstream  with snow showers to the NE over the North Sea.Great to see at the end of November.
