Similar here, unsurprisingly.

Got an automated phone message from SSEN earlier this evening saying that compensation payments for loss of power would be processed automatically as per OFGEM rules/rates and cheques sent to affected households. No mention of timescales.

A light snow shower has made its way down to here just now rather surprisingly. Been cold and mostly clear here today but with a keen Northerly wind this afternoon. The max of 8.6C was just after midnight with the temp between 3 and 4C  most of the day. Now 2C with a light Northerly breeze.

Hurrah, power back on at 18:30.

Then the boiler refused to start up ( and earliest the engineer can look at it is Monday.

You win and lose some....

Thankfully there's an immersion heater in the water tank and plenty of electric heaters and we've got used to sitting round in full winter garb anyway.

Talking of which, snow for an hour or so earlier this evening has turned everything nice and white.

Currently 0c and a bitter NW wind.

Glad you’ve finally been restored to the grid but shame about your boiler.

Left my friends house just before 10pm and was surprised by how much snow had fallen. It’ll no doubt be an interesting drive to work tomorrow ❄️

Yes we even saw some flakes down here in the East Neuk, twice in a week now!  1.3c currently.

Big clear bit now to our North/ NorthWest on the radar so I suspect that is it for now here. Precipitation showing over Aberdeen which my daughter tells me is now snow.

Nice snow shower for around 30 mins in Dundee around 10pm gave us an unexpected dusting, I’ve learned over past 2 winters how terrible Bbc and met office are, NetweatherStormRadar app super reliable

That's good news, hopefully payments are swift and hassle free.

No more showers here overnight but last night's dusting has survived. 1c and hopefully a reasonable day coming up.
