Cracking start to February.  Max temp here was 15°C recorded at 15:30 after an overnight low of 5.9°C at midnight.  Bit of a blustery day took the edge of the temperature though, mainly from a W or WNW, occasionally NW direction with a couple of gusts of 30mph and a few hours in the high 20's.  Pressure 1020.4hPa rising slowly.  No rain has fallen since midnight, with the January rainfall total just about reaching 14mm.

Some cloud when I took this earlier at 17:15 - so long as this winter's heavy cloud blanket isn't around, its pleasantly noticeable how much daylight hours are extending now.

Reached 13.8c here today in the sunshine felt very spring like, noticing the warmth in the sun getting stronger now. Here's to an early spring warm spell!

Fantastic sunset earlier full of different colours , slightly darkened and contrasted this photo to get the colours I was seeing in the sky but it means that the bottom half of my photo is much darker than it actually was

went out to my sitting fence in the fields yesterday and actually had to take my hat and zip down my coat as I was getting quite a flush in that sun. I hope it's our time in the southeast to get that sunshine as it sure as hell wasn't the sunniest january on record down here with about a weeks worth of gloomy skies.

Still stuck under gloomy drizzlefest, had about an hour around 10am when the sun tried hard to break through and the drizzle dispersed, but its back again, longing for the wind we've had the past couple of days, at least it cleared the skies quickly.

More cloud this morning with a very light drizzle wafting around for a few minutes, thankfully didnt last. Feeling mild, rather have the cold, sunny days back please.

Hi All. Hope you're enjoying our Regional thread just as much now we are over in the 'Clubs' section of the forum (comments welcome). One of the benefits is that we can have all sorts of Regional sub-threads within the Club, so you may have seen that I've set up a Regional 'Records & Stats' sub-thread and I've also kicked off the Regional Gallery with 3 sub-titles - Clouds, Sunsets/Sunrises and Snow.

And talking of photos, there have been some great pics posted in this thread over the years so please feel free to upload the best of them into the galleries I've set up. They aren't my personal galleries - they're for everyone to use. But as a basic ground rule I think the photos should be about (or taken in) our Region with non-Regional photos best placed in the wider Forum Gallery.

If you're unsure about 'how', here's some screen grabs to help guide you. First of all go the Regional Gallery, then click on any of the sub-titles that apply to your photo, as illustrated:

1900933172_Addingimages1.thumb.jpg.d7dd49ce1cf65e6eebdc7ad9682dea1e.jpg

Click on the + sign to add (upload) photos:

388486894_Addingimages2.thumb.jpg.7b332f49141c8461575d3781643dd763.jpg

Then add a credit to the photos you're going to upload (your forum username good) and if your want to add a meaningful title and description to the photo, this is where you do it. When you've finished, click on 'Upload all images'. Job done.

1381380713_Addingimages3.thumb.jpg.9ddb5ef13cb783d998eb05543fc94374.jpg

Finally, if there isn't a Gallery sub-title that applies to your pic, please feel free to start a new one.

Thanks everyone.

No need to worry, though, BB. According to the MAD thread, winter is coming. Again!:santa-emoji:
